Giant Thanks

Thanks Uncle Matty and Brock for driving through the wee hours of the morning to visit me! I enjoyed all the giggles.

Monday, October 25, 2010

My weekend with Uncle Matty and Cousin Brock was filled with dinosaur fun...roars, growls, the dinosaur museum, the dinosaur park and dinosaur tickles. I had a date with Miss Sarah so Mommy, Daddy, Matty and Brock could visit Morrill Hall to discover dinosaur and elephant bones; unfortunately, Miss Sarah came down with a cold, so I went along (WOW...what an adventure)!

Sneak Peek

Grandpa, Gigi and Aunt Marty previewed their halloween masks for me while I lunched with them today. I had butterflies of excitement in my tummy as my first halloween approaches (or it could have been gas)?!?!

Fun With Uncle Kevin

This weekend was filled with exciting events! Tailgate party for the Nebraska-Texas game where Uncle Kevin and Daddy held their annual rib off; Uncle Kev was victorious with a little help from Gene-O. Mommy was happy for the Texas win! The guys also hosted the 4th annual PBR Open; stories of Dave dressed as a sumo-bikini girl and Aunt B selling beer circulated among the laughter. A good time was had by all and well...someday I hope to join in all the fun festivities.

Catching Up

It's hard to believe October is already here. Here's a few updates on what's happening at our house:
* Daddy recently had pneumonia. He was quarantined to the basement so mommy and I wouldn't be exposed. As luck would have it that same week I reached an all time "crazy" with my crying episodes (and mommy did too!). I have definitely had colic, but wow...I cranked it up about 1,000 notches. The good that came from it was that we discovered I had a milk-protein intolerance. My pediatrician started me on a special formula (Neocate) and almost immediately I had positive results! Daddy says I might not be able to go to college because it's so expensive but I have been a high maintenance baby since the beginning. A giant thanks to nana Martha and Miss Sarah for helping mommy while Daddy was ill.
* With the new formula, I cry much less, have slept through the night several times, my skin has cleared up and my umbilical hernia has improved significantly. I continue to gain weight as evidenced by my growing into several new outfits (3-6 month sizes).
* I enjoy staring at the ceiling fan, sucking on my thumb (when I can find it), making crooked smiles, having Metta lick my toes, playing with my zebra, and listening to any white noise (running water, the bathroom fan, my heartbeat teddy bear, etc).
* I'm looking forward to seeing my uncle Kevin this weekend as he's coming all the way from Florida. My uncle Matty and cousin Brock will be here the following weekend for some boy's bonding!
