My First Fight

So the story goes...Mommy decided to take me to the gym daycare. I've been there one other time and it seemed like a good idea at the time. As mommy returned from a short cardio blast, she came to find me screaming amongst the other children and being held tightly by the caregiver. Mommy assumed I had fallen down as I have been doing alot of that because I am so much more mobile in my crawling and pulling myself up. Mommy said, "Oh it's okay. Did he fall?" The caregiver looked mommy square in the eyes and said, "No actually another boy pushed him down and 'smothered' him". YIKES!!! as the tears rolled down my face. Mommy quickly cuddled me and raced to the car.

Later Daddy asked "Did you get a good look at the other kid"? Mommy raced so quickly to retreat that I did not have a chance to point out the villain. I ended up with a scratch over my eye as my battle scar.

Funny timing as Daddy and Uncle Matty were just philosophizing about what teach "your boys" about defending themselves or someone they love. In this case, I turned the other cheek and well...got "smothered".

Happy Birthday To Me!

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.

All Hands On Deck

I just returned from a great vacation with Mommy (carrying my 20 week little sister to be), Daddy, Aunt B, Uncle Matty & Aunt Dayna, Cousins Brock Henry and Bella Bop, Gammie & Poppy.

We started in Vegas (BABY!!), road tripped to Zion National Park and then boarded a 62' house boat to cruise Lake Powell, Utah. What a Site!

Birthday Party Update

It was a wonderful day for me! There were many family and friends gathered together to celebrate my life and I feel truly honored. A SPECIAL thank you to those who generously gave donations to the St. Elizabeth's NICU. Together we raised over $700 for other babies just like me. In addition, those little tiny hands, feet and heads will be wrapped in sweetness thanks to the hand knitted hats and booties made by Jean Nye.

Much appreciation and gratitude for your time, your hugs and the laughter that filled my home.

...and the cake was delicious too.
